Beloved

He is everything. He is compassionate, loving, worthy of everything and anything I can give him. I cannot fathom the entirety of his being or what he can do; I can only accept that he sent his one and only son to die for humankind. He loved us so much that he wanted to save us, even though we ruined everything. He imagined this world for us to be wonderful and never ending. He wanted to give us everything because of his desire to love us. He created us for the sole reason to love us. I feel his burning love inside of me each day. He is with me through anything that I come across.

            He is my strong rock that never fails. He is constant in his love and is so forgiving. All of the mistakes I have made have not changed his mind and in his eyes, I am perfect. His son wiped away all of my sins and imperfections so I could experience this wonderful and unconditional love. He is my father and my protector. In the abuse I have suffered, he has never left me. He has carried me in my misery and given me space when I had irrational anger towards him. Yet, when I came back to him, he welcomed me with loving arms. He continues to be the constant authority that I need. He comforts me in my pain. He has sent angels to watch over me and my health. Without him, I felt darkness and fear. The enemy took over my thoughts and sent me into a downward spiral trying to keep me in a darkened hole. But my savior pulled me out of the hole in my cry for help and lifted me out of the darkness into the light of his love. In his path I follow because of the life he gave me. His love for me overpowers and takes hold of my life. In him, and with him, everything is okay. There is a silent but loud joy in everything I face, whether good or bad. I know I will always be okay; that he has given me a calm confidence in life and in its purpose. I live in this world for him; he blesses me, cares for me, and makes sure I am all right. He builds my character for my benefit and the benefit of others so they can find life in him. 

            I take no credit in what I have, because I know it was all given to me

It all started in the garden

Where the devil came near

And spat his rancid breath, into your ear

With the crackle of leaves your heart beats faster

As the kiss is planted, you call to your master.

You are taken away, heading towards your death,

Yet you still have your faith,

And your strength…or what’s left

They taunt with harmful words and he allows them to go on

His voice seems piercing, yet it is steady and calm

Facing the end, you hope it will be soon

Thrashing whips dig into your skin

Puncturing your already beaten wounds

Through the laughter and jokes, evil smiles wide

The guard yells to them, seize!

Blood pours down from every side

As they take you away,

Sharp thorns are meshed into your head

Forcing an ache, the pain is spread

Here you stand, where you must carry the cross

Lucifer tells you to give up

But you wont at any cost

You are anguished in agony

But the intense pulse keeps thumping

Telling your heart to proceed it’s pumping

You’ve met the ground three times too many

Lost numerous amounts of blood, and left hardly any

As you climb to the hilltop, you are thrown down

They Pound the nails and rip off the gown

As red drips through, to the other end

You are reminded of all the souls you will ascend

Then the last words came

Tormented with suffering and pain:

Forgive them from their sin; do not have them to blame.

As Mary weeps the thunder rolls

Your last breath shook, the sky poured down

And your heart heard its final pound.
